Whenever the world gets us down, animals are there to cheer us up. Here are eleven cute chicks from our Chisel’d Creek Farm hatchery that are sure to make your day. We threw in some flowers because cute chicks dig flowers, right? We know you just rolled your eyes, and bet you smiled too.
1.
Baby Buckeyes are orange-brown, with fringes of white gold on their bellies. Their beaks are tipped with brown as if they stuck them into an ink well. These two little birds will grow up to be foraging fiends in the chicken world.
2.
Here are two two-day-old Splash Ameraucana chicks. These fuzzies will grow up to be a mix of white, gray, and freckled with spots. That coloring is called splash and boy do they make a splash in the coop! These cute chicks turn heads wherever they go.
3.
These three are enjoying the great outdoors and practicing their foraging skills. Their feathers will grow in with a lovely slate color that called “blue.” It takes a while to grow adult feathers, find all the bugs, and take all the naps.
4.
Resting its head on another fluffy back is a little black Favacaunas chick. Being a cute chick is hard work!
5.
When they’re first born, standard sized chickens can fit in one hand. This one is just about two days old and as calm as can be.
6.
Look at those blue eyes! The Salmon Faverolles (the ‘s’ is silent) is a French chicken that has five toes and feathered feet. This little guy is always hungry just like his siblings, but let’s be honest – aren’t we all?
We hope these adorable babies made your day. Check back to see more cute chicks, learn about trees and gardening, and learn all about our farm. Follow us on Instagram here to see all our updates and many more cute chicken babies.
