What type of warranty do you provide?
We offer a 10 day money-back guarantee (see notes about returns above). Your satisfaction is important to us. Please note that items are not guaranteed to be free of defects in the wood, as wood products are each unique to the tree used. Natural “flaws” in the wood are normal and part of the charm. We guarantee they will be free of structural flaws for their intended purpose for 90 days. Items are not guaranteed if used for any other purpose than intended. For example, our coffee tables are not to be used as benches, and our end tables are not to be used as step-ladders.
How do I cancel my order?
Call to cancel your order anytime up to 24 hours prior to delivery/shipping. Once delivered, you have 10 calendar days to return an undamaged item. Shipping costs are not included in any refunds unless you call 24 hours prior to your delivery/shipping date.
Are you using sustainable forestry practices?
We maintain about 50% of our farmland as forest, where we allow nature to to make most of it’s own decisions. As stewards, we do manage what we own. For any tree we harvest, we plant several more. We regularly take out disease-ridden or hazardous trees. One of our craftsman/farmers is a Certified Arborist with over fifteen years in the tree care industry.
Will you take my dead tree?
Possibly. If you have a tree you had to remove because it was a hazard, required removal by town rules, etc. and you’d like to donate it to the farm, we may be able to haul some or all of it away for you if it’s not overly decayed. We do not purchase wood or fell trees at this time.
Do you offer arborist services like tree pruning?
Yes, you can visit ChiseldCreekFarm.com/arboriculture or click HERE to see details.
Do you sell my information?
No. We use your name, email, phone etc. for internal purposes only, like invoicing and records. We do not sell your information.
What does live-edge mean?
It refers to the natural edges (bark or not) that’s left on a piece of wood. It’s minimally sanded or not at all and is naturally beautiful.
Why is live edge so expensive?
We fell and mill trees. Then we plant trees to take that tree’s ecological place. Then we design and handcraft each live-edge piece with care and skill so that when you bring the furniture home it’s like part of that wild, beautiful forest in your home. Your purchase gets you a beautiful table, feeds our family, and keeps our farm and the trees thriving.
